New Assistant Principal Appointed at Todd County Central High School

Lee Quarles, the incoming Principal for Todd County Central High School, announced that Lynne-Alexzandra Carrington will be taking the role of Assistant Principal of Todd County Central High School in the coming year.

Principal Quarles shared support for Carrington, stating, “I am confident that her leadership capabilities and positive energy will align well with the rest of our team. Ms. Carrington has a record of creating strong partnerships with families and communities, which makes her a great selection for our community. She has a deep appreciation for teaching and learning and is a strong advocate for students.”

Ms. Carrington earned her undergraduate teaching degree from St. Francis College in Brooklyn, New York, in Education Birth- 6, received her Masters degree from St. John's University in Queens, New York, in Literacy 5-12, and her Ed.S from Austin Peay State University, Clarksville, Tennessee, in Educational Leadership.  She is currently enrolled at Austin Peay State University where she is working to complete her Ed.D in Educational Leadership. 

Ms. Carrington has served as a 6th grade and 7th grade Reading Language Arts teacher, an At-risk Coordinator, and a Student Support Coordinator throughout her 15 years at Kenwood Middle- CMCSS.  She completed the CMCSS Aspiring Administrators Academy and has been an educator since September 2003. The 2021-2022 school year will be her first year as an administrator.

In accepting the position, Carrington said, “I am excited for the new experience, and I look forward to getting to know students, families and staff and become a part of the TCCHS community!”
