Todd County School District Superintendent Mark Thomas is pleased to announce that Mr. Lee Quarles has been chosen to be the next principal of the Todd County Central High School.
Quarles will formally assume his new role immediately.
“I am very excited that Mr. Lee Quarles was selected as our next principal at TCCHS,” Superintendent Thomas stated. “He is familiar with the traditions and successful practices at Todd County Central High School as he has served the school as their assistant principal. Mr. Quarles can’t wait to get started in his new role. I want to thank the TCCHS SBDM Council for their diligence in the selection process and their commitment to our school and our community.”
Mr. Quarles has served as Assistant Principal for Todd County Central High School since July 2019. Prior to working in Todd County Schools, Mr. Quarles was with the Clarksville Montgomery County School System in the high school setting for over 12 years. Mr. Quarles most recently served as an Exceptional Education teacher at Kenwood High School in Clarksville, Tennessee. Mr. Quarles spent two years in the role of alternative school principal/program director with Catapult Learning Program.
Mr. Quarles has a broad range of leadership skills, serving a teacher, administrator, and basketball coach during his professional career. Mr. Quarles has extensive experience with federal and state performance guidelines, curriculum and instruction, school management, student services, and student behavior and discipline. Quarles obtained a master’s degree in Special Education from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee and a master's degree in Educational Leadership from Trevecca University.
Working with the SBDM council and staff, Quarles stated he has a vision to bring together all stakeholders - students, teachers, families, and community. “We are all in this together. By ‘ALL’ I mean the student body, faculty, staff and community. I am very excited about the opportunities to be able to work together with our school, our families, and our community for the benefit of our children!”
Superintendent Thomas stated, “Mr. Quarles brings to us a world of knowledge along with a variety of skill sets. Mr. Quarles is committed to ensuring that all students learn to their maximum potential and to fostering innovation through collaboration with teachers, staff, students and families. “
Mr. Quarles resides in Clarksville, Tennessee with his wife Lindsay and their two boys. “I truly believe in the philosophy of Servant Leadership,” stated Quarles. “I am grateful and honored to lead the TCCHS family. I look forward serving the students, faculty and the Todd County Central community.”
